The Compassionate Village is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization (EIN: 82-3870181).
Our primary focus is Animal Rescue Response and Outreach, in addition to offering a one-of-a-kind "Safe Haven" Temporary Foster Program for families who are experiencing financial hardship, health complications, sudden change in housing, personal crisis, domestic violence or homelessness. We provide pet owner's peace of mind, upon enrolling their pet(s) into our “Safe Haven” Program, where their pet will be loved, cared for and kept safe until they are reunited once again.
Working side-by-side and in conjunction with fellow Animal Rescue Organizations, Dog Wardens, Animal Shelters and local Law Enforcement Agencies, we take pride in our "team player" approach, as we believe that it indeed, "Takes a Village" to be a voice for the animals in need.
In 2015, Co-Founders, Britni Wilson-Carleton and Tara Hubbard, crossed paths in the Old West End Historic District of Toledo, Ohio. This union was nothing short of Divine and "meant to be," as they quickly discovered their shared passion for animal rescue, welfare and compassionate outreach. From that moment forward, they've had each others backs, as they continue to fight the "GOOD fight," by being a voice for the animals in need and advocating for the positive partnership between ALL Rescues with one another.

Specializing in Animal Rescue Response and Outreach services, The Compassionate Village recognizes the monumental importance of never turning a blind eye to an animal (or human) in need of compassion. From a lost dog on the street, to a family in need of assistance in order to properly care for their pets (and every scenario in between), TCV prides themselves in providing quality care and services to both animals and humans alike. We believe that every animal who crosses our path is one-of-a-kind and has a unique story to tell. It is our job to share their story and to be their voice.
