"Rescue animals aren't broken, they've simply experienced more life than other animals. If they were human, we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write, the ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage..."

Kane

Kane was rescued off of the street by many compassionate residents over the course of several months. Kane's former family realized they could not provide Kane with the time and attention that a young dog requires, so they chose to surrender this handsome boy to TCV. He's been loving life in his current foster home with small children and a K9 companion!

Mufasa

It was a late night in the Old West End when Mufasa found a nearby resident taking an evening stroll as the storms were heading in. Thankfully, he followed the right person home who just couldn't ignore the obvious suffering of this beautiful boy!

Hope

Hope and her two siblings were rescued off the street by good samaritans in Oregon, OH. The family didn't know what to do upon saving them, so they paid a visit to Humane Ohio, where they ran into Co-Founders Britni and Tara! It was truly Divine timing that they arrived at the right place at just the right time. Without hesitation TCV made arrangements with the family and gladly welcome these three sweethearts into their Safe Haven program!

Hank

From the outside looking in, Hank was injured and starving, hoping someone would notice him as he cried for help outside the doors of Riverside Elementary school. Thankfully, this darling boy was in the right place at the right time, when the School Staff took notice to him and saw the horribly infected bite wound located on his back. They took immediate action by contacting TCV, while a nearby parent rescued him off of the street after witnessing him being kicked by a nearby resident. Hank is now safe, happy and healthy enjoying life in his TCV Foster home!

Lil' Mack

A local Toledo Attorney found this handsome little fella in her backyard playing with her dog on a summer afternoon. It was a hot day and he was quite relieved to receive lots of cool water and comforting cuddles on a breezy covered porch. Lil' Mack is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his forever family to give him plenty of love and a wonderful new beginning!

Garlic

Garlic and his two siblings were rescued off the street by good samaritans in Oregon, OH.

Star

It was an extremely hot summer day when this beautiful little lady was found outside! She was one of many cats and kittens being given away for free and thanks to a passionate TCV Volunteer, she was rescued and placed with a loving TCV Foster waiting for her forever family!

Greyjoy

TCV was notified of a Facebook post reporting that a kitten was being abused by neighborhood youth in Toledo. Co-Founder, Britni, quickly headed to the scene, where several other good samaritans, along with a TCV Volunteer, joined her in her search for the kitten. Thankfully, a young couple had saved Greyjoy! They alerted us to another Cat that was also being mistreated. Upon searching for that cat, a Pit Bull ran right past us! We quickly realized, that Greyjoy's temporary misfortune turned in to the blessing in disguise that was needed in order to save three animals lives that evening! Thankfully both kitties and the dog are doing wonderfully!

Joy

Joy and her two siblings were rescued off the street by good samaritans in Oregon, OH.
